The AAIP features several distinct entrepreneur streams, each with specific requirements. Depending on the stream, applicants may be required to submit a Pitch Deck, a Net Worth Worksheet, and a Letter of Recommendation from a designated agency or rural community, alongside their comprehensive business plan.

Investment and Minimum Equity Requirements
To qualify, applicants must meet specific personal net worth and minimum investment thresholds depending on their stream and location:

• Urban Businesses (Graduates): Minimum investment of $100,000.
• Rural Businesses (Graduates): Minimum investment of $50,000.
• Rural Entrepreneur Stream: Minimum personal investment of $200,000.
• Farm Stream: Minimum equity investment of $500,000 in a primary production farming enterprise.

Investment capital can include personal funds, loans from financial institutions, private equity, venture capital, or angel investments. Applicants may establish a new business or purchase an existing one (typically requiring a minimum of 34% equity ownership for graduates, or 51% to 100% for standard rural successions).
